Becoming a member of the Sheffield Canoe Club is simple, all you have to do is print and return one of the forms below (in Excel or .Pdf format) to any club official, either at the pool or River Don site, with the correct fee, this will welcome you to one of the country's premier Canoe and Kayaking clubs where you will be assured of a safe and friendly environment for yourself, and if you wish your family too.

Membership benefits include full use of our pool sessions at Hillsborough Leisure Centre and our River Don site at Oughtibridge where full coaching to BCU standards is given by our qualified coaches. All kayaking equipment can be provided and we have a wide range of modern boats and equipment for you to try at your leisure, although everything will be done to ensure safety at all times your membership will also provide you with insurance while participating in any club activity, including club trips which are organised throughout the year.

The club has a good social structure with a friendly atmosphere that provides encouragement for all levels of member, whether a complete novice or a hardened white water paddler, you are sure to reap the benefits as a member of Sheffield Canoe Club.

Payment of Membership Fees

Please send your completed membership form enclosing a cheque made payable to Sheffield Canoe Club to:-

Alternatively, you can pass on your membership form and payment (cash or cheque) at the regular baths sessions held at Hillsborough Leisure Centre in Sheffield between 9.00 and 10.30pm on Friday evenings.   You can also hand in your membership form at the river Don site on Sunday's in winter, and Sunday's & Wednesday's in the summer.  

Please Note That:-

Membership runs from 1st October to 30th September (except for affiliated groups and districts)
Membership fees (NEW MEMBERS ONLY) are reduced when joining FOR THE FIRST TIME after 1st April, see scale below.
Membership not renewed by 30th November will be taken as lapsed, and further newsletters will not be provided.
Affiliated group or district memberships not renewed within 2 months following their individual expiry dates will be taken as lapsed.
